As a Chassis Design Engineer, you will be responsible for diagnosing and resolving technical issues concerning automotive chassis design and performance. This role entails keeping abreast of industry developments, advancements, and regulatory standards relevant to chassis design. You will play a pivotal role in supporting prototype and production build activities, including the testing and validation of chassis systems. Collaboration with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure the quality and cost-effectiveness of chassis components is also key. Furthermore, you will provide technical assistance and direction to team members and departments when necessary. Your duties will involve designing and innovating automotive chassis components and systems while ensuring compliance with industry regulations. Structural analysis and simulation will be utilized to optimize chassis performance and durability. Effective collaboration with cross-functional teams will be essential for integrating chassis systems with other vehicle components. Additionally, you will conduct design reviews and generate comprehensive engineering documentation, encompassing drawings, specifications, and test plans. Material selection, supplier evaluation, and the identification of suitable manufacturing processes for chassis components will also be within your scope of responsibilities.
Candidate Profile:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in automotive chassis design.
Experience with structural analysis and simulation tools, such as ANSYS or Abaqus.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Fluency in English (additional languages are a plus).
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Proficiency in CAD software, such as SolidWorks or CATIA.
Strong knowledge of chassis design principles and industry standards.
