Position Summary:
The MEP Technician is a versatile professional proficient in both mechanical and electrical systems, specializing in maintenance tasks. This role involves installing projects, diagnosing control system faults, and ensuring the smooth operation of processes. Additionally, the technician will conduct remedial repairs on project works.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), reactive, and corrective maintenance, encompassing various electrical installations such as lighting control systems, distribution boards (DBs), Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), control and monitoring devices, equipment, emergency lighting, and small power systems.
Collaborate effectively with other technical personnel when necessary.
Be available for overtime, shift work, or out-of-hours assignments to ensure continuous operation of essential plant and systems.
Participate in emergency on-call services during non-working hours, weekends, and public holidays.
Execute project activities as instructed by the Supervisor while adhering to Risk Assessments and Standard Operating Procedures.
Obtain all required internal and external approvals, including Permit to Work and Lockout/Tag Out procedures, before, during, and after project work.
Stay updated with technical training provided by the Supervisor to ensure the safe and efficient operation of project duties.
Adhere to safe work practices when dealing with building services electrical equipment.
Manage time and responsibilities autonomously.
Fulfill any other duties assigned by the Line Manager to contribute to the business’s objectives.

Qualifications:

Certificate or diploma in a relevant field required.
Thorough familiarity with facility equipment units and safety protocols is essential.
Experience:

A minimum of 4 years’ experience in a similar capacity is required.
Skills:

Proficient in maintaining health and safety standards within clinical settings.
Skilled in quality control analysis.
Effective time management abilities.
Advanced knowledge of instrumentation systems.
Competent with electrical equipment, power supply, and distribution systems.
Familiarity with lighting and control systems in commercial or facility management environments.
