The role of the Business Lead entails spearheading initiatives to enhance market presence, elevate market standing, and foster revenue growth while adhering to the company’s overarching market access strategy. This position involves cultivating relationships with crucial stakeholders, analyzing market trends, and devising strategies to overcome regulatory and access hurdles.

The Business Lead will be responsible for spotting, assessing, and finalizing organic, greenfield, and acquisition opportunities and partnerships to broaden the reach of “Market Access” capabilities and solutions into new markets, with new partners across various categories and channels.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Partnership Development:

Collaborate with the Global EVP Market Access to identify and seize opportunities in First, Middle, and Last-mile solutions across targeted industries.
Partner with producers/brand owners to co-create customized solutions, leveraging DP World’s capabilities to enhance market reach and growth potential.
Commercial Strategy Development:

Refine commercial models in alignment with the commercial, financial, and solutions teams to deliver superior Market Access solutions.
Develop and enhance commercial strategies to ensure the competitiveness and effectiveness of our offerings.
Talent and Resource Management:

Assess talent and resource requirements for executing industry-specific Market Access initiatives across different regions.
Identify and onboard skilled professionals to successfully implement Market Access strategies.
Performance Evaluation and Optimization:

Evaluate financial, commercial, and operational performance within industry verticals to exceed customer expectations.
Establish and propagate regional best practices to optimize performance and drive continuous improvement.
Business Development and Growth:

Proactively pursue and capitalize on business development opportunities to drive organic growth and explore potential joint ventures or acquisitions.
Align commercial and operational perspectives to maximize business development outcomes and market penetration.
Product Innovation and Adaptation:

Ensure the relevance and attractiveness of Market Access products by adapting to evolving market needs and customer requirements.
Drive innovation and adaptation within Market Access solutions to maintain a competitive edge in the global market.
Thought Leadership and Industry Engagement:

Participate in industry workshops, conferences, and forums to establish thought leadership and promote DP World’s expertise within specific industry sectors.
Stay abreast of industry trends and developments to inform strategic decision-making and enhance our market positioning.
Team Leadership and Development:

Lead and inspire a high-performing team, fostering collaboration, growth, and development to achieve challenging, attainable goals.
Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to team members to enable their professional advancement and success.
Brand Ambassadorship and Ethical Conduct:

Uphold DP World’s principles, values, and culture as a brand ambassador, adhering to safety protocols and always promoting ethical conduct.
Represent DP World with integrity and professionalism in all interactions with internal and external stakeholders

Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in business or a relevant field.
At least a decade of experience in business development/sales within the relevant industry.
Subject matter expertise in the global industry leads.
Previous involvement in commercial operations and profit and loss management for a significant company in the industry.
Proven track record in navigating emerging markets and establishing new business ventures.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment and contribute to multiple projects with precision under tight deadlines.
Independent solid work ethic, meticulous attention to detail, and a dedication to process improvement.
Experience presenting to senior management.
Strong business acumen, with a focus on identifying and fostering new initiatives.
Analytical thinking, project management, and organizational skills are essential.
Demonstrated ability to stay abreast of industry trends and execute strategies at both tactical and strategic levels.
Must have a history of building direct customer relationships, identifying business opportunities, and driving growth across market access and the DP World Logistics spectrum.
Proficiency in launching new markets and products globally, with experience across various sectors within the logistics industry.
Must be self-motivated, possess effective leadership and managerial abilities, and communicate well.
