Job Description:
The Grounds Maintenance Specialist is tasked with the upkeep and preparation of outdoor areas and sports surfaces.

Responsibilities:
Perform tasks such as replanting, repairing, aerating, fertilizing, and topdressing lawns.
Possess expertise in preparing various playing surfaces, including tees, fairways, roughs, and greens.
Execute common repair and renovation methods.
Prepare ground and establish plants as necessary.
Demonstrate proficiency in utilizing and maintaining non-powered tools and equipment safely and correctly.
Operate machinery such as tractors, mowers, and rollers effectively.
Perform various mowing techniques, such as scarifying/verti-cutting turf, aerating turf, and applying top dressing and fertilizers.
Address divot repairs and identify/control weeds, pests, turf diseases, and disorders.
Strive for professional development by enhancing understanding of operational tasks.
Maintain assigned equipment and tools by fueling, cleaning, and ensuring proper care.
Ensure precision in mowing lines, cleanliness of mowed areas, and proper handling of traffic controls.
Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of all maintenance operations.
Report any colleague’s misconduct, damage, or unprofessional behavior to a supervisor promptly.
Maintain cleanliness and organization in the wash-bay area.
Monitor and uphold health, safety, and security standards in the workplace.

Qualifications and Requirements:
High School Certificate or equivalent, or at least 5 years of experience in a related field.
Minimum of two (2) years of experience working as a greenkeeper on golf courses or sports grounds.
Fundamental understanding of Health and Safety regulations.
Basic proficiency in English at Level 3 (reading and writing).
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
Strong team player with a positive attitude.
