Role Overview: Enterprise Data & Information Architect

As an Enterprise Data & Information Architect, you will play a pivotal role in strategically managing, implementing, and enforcing data and information architecture within the organization. Your efforts will directly support the organization’s future strategy and business model, ensuring that data is transformed into meaningful information. This transformation will empower the business to make effective decisions and drive its strategic goals.

Responsibilities

Architectural Strategy & Roadmap: Contribute to the development and execution of the architectural strategy and roadmap for the Data and Information Domain.
Frameworks & Design Processes: Develop and provide content for Data and Information frameworks and design processes to facilitate implementation.
Subject Matter Expertise: Offer expert input in Data and Information Management to guide the organization’s strategic direction.
Technology Monitoring: Stay informed on technology capabilities, trends, and requirements, including emerging standards and new technology opportunities.
Data Element Awareness: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of available data elements within the company.
Supplier & Cost Advisory: Advise on supplier and cost options, ensuring comprehensive representation and consideration of solutions in RFI/RFP processes and proof of concept evaluations.
Architectural Governance: Participate in broader architectural governance activities, including peer reviews for other solutions.
Leadership & Execution: Lead the planning, development, and execution of Group solutions.
Business Insights: Provide well-considered insights regarding Data and Information Management constructs to the business.
Data Decision Input: Act as a subject matter expert on data, providing input on all decisions related to systems data.
Knowledge Sharing: Share knowledge with peers through mentoring initiatives.
Lifecycle Design: Design the data information management lifecycle relevant to the group.
Lifecycle Enforcement: Enforce the data information lifecycle, identify challenges and bottlenecks, and continuously review and amend the process.
Governance Standards: Provide guidance on setting governance standards for Data and Analytics Management.
Governance Adherence: Ensure adherence to governance standards within the Data and Analytics environment.

Required Skills for Success

Expertise in Azure Cloud and Databricks
Solid stakeholder management abilities
Strong leadership skills
Qualifications and Experience

Over 10 years of experience in Data and Information Architecture, ideally within the Automotive or Retail sectors
TOGAF certification in Enterprise Architecture
Proficient in Databricks and PowerBI
Extensive knowledge of Azure Cloud, with certification being a plus
Familiarity with SAP Datasphere and SAC is advantageous
Experience with data governance tools such as Pursue and Oval Edge is beneficial
Understanding of industry legislation and regulations, with an ability to address their impact and implications within the organizational enterprise framework
Proven ability to conduct comprehensive analysis and develop architectural constructs and artifacts that align with business strategy
Strong technical skills to lead and guide a small team of specialists
Effective communication and influencing skills, with a proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
