The primary responsibility of this role is to execute mechanical repairs efficiently and in accordance with the established procedures and standards set by the company. This includes meeting productivity and quality objectives, ensuring adherence to time standards, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.
- Key Responsibilities:
Perform assigned mechanical repairs in line with the company’s established procedures, specifications, and time standards. - Repair damaged vehicles following the guidelines outlined in the Vehicle Repair Manual.
- Deliver high-quality workmanship to ensure customer satisfaction and minimize the need for repeat repairs, thereby saving time and resources.
- Conduct quality checks as needed to ensure repair standards are met.
- Adhere to safety protocols by using appropriate safety equipment and following environmental conservation procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including tools, equipment, and the customer’s vehicle.
- Execute work with care to avoid endangering yourself or others, while adhering to the company’s health, safety, and environmental policies.
- Effectively plan and schedule tasks when handling multiple jobs and responsibilities.
- Overhaul, repair, and reassemble complex mechanical components as required.
Identify and rectify wheel alignment issues. - Stay updated with new technologies, work procedures, and technical knowledge to enhance work productivity and quality.
- Uphold the discipline of the service establishment by strictly following company rules, regulations, and procedures.
- Required Skills for Success:
- Understanding of Automotive Parts: In-depth knowledge of automotive components and systems.
- Technical Expertise: Proven technical experience in mechanical repairs and maintenance.
- Automotive Dealership Experience: Previous experience working in an automotive dealership environment.
- Workshop Experience: Hands-on experience in a workshop setting.
Team Structure: - Reporting Line: You will report directly to the Workshop Supervisor.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the workshop team to achieve shared goals.
Qualifications for the Role: - Educational Background: ITI or Diploma in Automobile Engineering.
- Experience: 1 to 2 years of experience as a Technician in an automotive dealership.
- Technical Skills: Strong technical abilities related to automotive repairs.
- Computer Skills: Basic proficiency in computer usage.
- Language Proficiency: Proficient in English.
