Role Overview:
As the primary point of contact for diagnostic support for our Electric Vehicle brand, you will address technical and electrical issues while ensuring that all necessary special tools, technical literature, and service bulletins are accessible at various locations. You will be responsible for reporting any issues requiring technical assistance or new vehicle concerns to the brand principal, submitting technical reports, and advising locations on resolutions. Additionally, you will prepare and submit Quality Cases reports, along with the necessary data, to the Technical Support Manager and the OEM.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct technical support visits and provide comprehensive reports.
  • Validate and assess technical concerns raised by locations.
  • Offer remote assistance to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
  • Perform field visits to directly address and assist with technical challenges.
  • Prepare and submit technical information reports to the principal.
  • Follow up on submitted technical information reports to ensure resolution.
  • Escalate issues to the Technical Support Manager as necessary.
  • Analyze failed parts and coordinate shipping to the OEM.
  • Provide on-the-job coaching to enhance team capabilities.
  • Manage software updates and ensure availability of special tools.
  • Required Skills for Success:
  • Comprehensive understanding of Electric Vehicle components and powertrain systems.
  • Proficiency in modern diagnostic and repair techniques specific to EV brands.
  • Strong ability to generate and manage technical reports.
  • Experience with both Electric Vehicles (EVs) and Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicles (PHEVs).
    About the Team:
  • This role will report to the Technical Support Manager and is focused on ensuring a positive customer experience.
  • Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 5 years in the automotive repair service field, including at least 3 years as a Master Technician in dealer service operations or an equivalent role.
  • Background in Automobile, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering, or extensive specialized training in Electric Vehicles.
  • Solid knowledge of electronics, onboard diagnostics, and the latest generation of vehicles, along with familiarity with contemporary diagnostic and repair methods.
