Job Purpose
To oversee daily operations during a shift, ensuring timely delivery of airline catering services that meet established service level agreements (SLAs), performance tracking systems (PTS), and other key performance indicators (KPIs).

  • Key Responsibilities
    Compliance and Incident Management: Ensure adherence to all relevant standards and regulatory requirements. Review and manage incidents promptly, escalating as necessary and advising on corrective actions.
  • Operational Monitoring: Monitor all operational aspects to optimize service delivery, providing support to management in achieving agreed-upon KPIs.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to meet service delivery requirements, promptly notifying management of any developing issues along with recommendations for resolution.
  • Cross-Department Coordination: Coordinate with all departments to ensure operational resilience and manage disruptions, escalating to management as needed to invoke business continuity plans.
  • LEAN Process Implementation: Support the implementation of LEAN processes, managing shifts to ensure timely and efficient service delivery according to handover timeframes.
  • Process Guidance and Feedback: Implement approved processes while providing guidance to Assistant Operations Managers and teams. Offer feedback and recommendations to management regarding risks, gaps, opportunities, and new technologies.
  • Performance Management: Continuously manage team performance, addressing high potential and low performance appropriately. Intervene to resolve conflicts pragmatically to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Coaching and Development: Coach and mentor team members in service delivery areas to foster operational excellence and promote a self-learning culture alongside company-initiated development programs.
  • Manpower Monitoring: Review and monitor manpower requirements, advising Senior Operations Managers on any variances and supporting management in the talent acquisition process.
  • Operational Leadership: Lead the shift operations to ensure timely delivery of airline catering services in alignment with SLAs, PTS, and other KPIs.

Qualifications
Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification.
    Experience & Knowledge:
  • At least 6 years of experience leading shifts in large-scale operational activities within logistics, catering, or airside environments.
  • Proven track record in implementing operational efficiency initiatives and service improvements.
  • Strong communication skills, capable of engaging effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to cultivate and maintain highly effective working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Capacity to challenge existing processes, people, and situations in a constructive and innovative manner.
