Key Accountabilities
- Operational Continuity: Ensure day-to-day operations related to HVAC maintenance and installation are executed efficiently.
- HVAC Maintenance: Perform maintenance, repairs, assembly, and installation of various HVAC units, including window units, ducted split units, package units, split units, refrigerators, and water coolers.
- Equipment Handling: Assist in transferring HVAC units and mechanical equipment to the workshop as required.
- Installation Tasks: Cut and drill holes in floors, walls, and roofs to install equipment using hand and power tools.
- Documentation: Prepare necessary documentation, including refrigerant records, logs, and specifications, to ensure compliance with regulations and accurate information conveyance.
- Tool Proficiency: Utilize standard tools, materials, and methods for the repair and maintenance of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.
- Physical Requirements: Frequently lift up to 50 pounds independently and over 50 pounds with assistance.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety precautions while performing all work tasks.
- Experience, Qualifications & Skills
- Fault-Finding Skills: Ability to independently diagnose issues using gas pressure and electrical analysis.
- Education: Secondary School Certificate along with a 2-year Technical Trade Certificate or Vocational Course Certificate.
- Health & Safety Knowledge: Familiarity with health, safety, and environmental standards and procedures.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a relevant field.
