Role Overview
The primary purpose of this role is to manage the entire customer and workshop process for Volvo vehicles in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will possess strong customer relationship management skills, ensuring that customer needs are met through efficient service and maintenance operations. As a Volvo Personal Service Technician, you will work collaboratively with your team to deliver valuable solutions to customers, continuously improve workshop processes, and minimize downtime while maximizing recovery rates. Completion of all recommended training is essential, as is participation in skills competitions for ongoing learning and development.

  • Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Engagement: Retrieve and document all relevant information to create a complete work order during the first customer interaction.
  • Planning and Pricing: Handle customer and production planning, providing accurate price information.
  • Work Order Administration: Manage all work order documentation, including invoicing for warranty, goodwill, insurance cases, and leasing companies.
  • Parts Management: Identify and order necessary parts, collaborating with Workshop Support when required.
  • Workshop Procedures: Adhere to Volvo methods for all types of workshop jobs and follow local standards and routines.
  • Value-Added Services: Promote and sell value-added services, including accessories, tinting, tires, batteries, coatings, paint protection, and smart repairs to aftersales customers.
  • Accessory Installation: Install accessories and perform Pre-Delivery Services (PDS) for customers, including refurbishing used cars based on evaluations from the sales department.
  • Extended Core Services: Execute Extended Core Services (ECS), including specialist Paintless Dent Repair (PDR) and reconditioning.
  • Vehicle Care: Perform external car washes for workshop customers’ vehicles.
  • Fault Reporting: Report any faults or deviations in Volvo systems to ensure corrective actions are implemented.
  • Team Collaboration: Attend daily meetings to identify and address problems, contributing to continuous improvement efforts.
  • Knowledge Sharing: Share insights and findings with the team, fostering a collaborative approach to problem-solving.
  • Customer Follow-Up: Reach out to customers a few days after their workshop visit to ensure satisfaction and adherence to dealer standards.
  • Technical Proficiency: Understand Standard Operating Procedures, utilize workshop manuals, and interpret wiring diagrams, while handling special tools and equipment.
  • Training and Development: Engage in E-learning and training development plans to enhance skills and knowledge.

  • Automotive Experience: A solid background in the automotive industry.

    About the Team
  • In this role, you will report to the Aftersales Manager and oversee a team, collaborating closely with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor’s or Diploma in Automotive, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: 4 to 5 years of experience as a Technician and Service Advisor in an automotive dealership.
  • Electric Vehicles: Basic knowledge of electric vehicles is preferred.
  • Technical and Customer Skills: Strong technical capabilities, customer relationship management skills, and proficiency with tools and equipment.
  • Software Proficiency: Competent in Microsoft Office applications.
