Business Unit Overview:
The Commercial Non-Airline Food Service division plays a crucial role in supporting the hospitality industry by offering a broad spectrum of food service products to various sectors, including Distribution, Quick-Service Restaurants (QSR), Retail, and the HORECA (Hotels, Restaurants, Catering, and Cafes) sector. The projected budget of AED 27 million for the fiscal year 2024-2025 reflects a 12.5% increase from the previous year’s budget of AED 24 million.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Sales Target Achievement: Develop and execute strategic sales initiatives to achieve annual sales goals, ensuring exceptional customer service and expanding the client base through proactive outreach, cold calling, and relationship management.
  • Client Acquisition & Market Expansion: Identify and pursue new clients by conducting market research, networking, attending industry events, and leveraging existing relationships to drive new business opportunities.
  • Account & Payment Management: Collaborate closely with the Finance team to ensure timely payment collections, maintain accurate records of account activities, and manage sales operations to meet revenue and gross profit margin targets.
  • Sales Presentations & Proposals: Deliver compelling and tailored sales presentations and product demos, highlighting the unique features of our food products. Customize presentations based on client needs and interests.
  • Negotiation & Contract Preparation: I will assist in negotiating commercial terms, preparing proposals, and ensuring all agreements align with company policies, maintaining a mutually beneficial approach for both parties.
  • Client Relationship Management: Actively follow up with clients to address inquiries and resolve issues, maintaining strong relationships through exceptional customer service and regular communication.
  • Collaboration with Internal Teams: Work closely with key internal stakeholders to ensure the delivery of tailored solutions that align with client needs and expectations.
  • Sales Planning & Reporting: Develop and monitor sales plans on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, adjusting strategies as necessary to stay aligned with market conditions and company objectives.
  • Industry Expertise: Utilize extensive knowledge of food service sectors, including new product development, distribution, retail, HORECA, QSR, and FSR, to effectively communicate the value of our offerings to clients.

Job Context:
As part of a dynamic and growth-focused department, the Assistant Key Accounts Manager is responsible for client retention and expanding key accounts, particularly within the HORECA, QSR, FSR, and retail sectors. With an expected 12.5% growth for the fiscal year 2024-2025, this role requires strong expertise in sales, account management, and client relationships to support the company’s financial objectives.

Education & Experience Requirements:

  • Educational Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, Supply Chain, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Work Experience:
  • Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in food service sales within the UAE market.
  • Proven track record in key account management, meeting sales targets, and delivering outstanding customer service.
  • Strong understanding of the UAE food service industry and market trends.
  • Familiarity with export procedures and ex-works terms is an advantage.
  • Established a network of clients and industry contacts.
