Role Purpose:
The primary responsibility of the Assistant Store Manager revolves around driving sales performance to achieve growth and profitability. This includes a strong emphasis on customer satisfaction, maintaining high merchandising standards, overseeing store operations, and actively participating in the training and development of the entire staff.

Principal Responsibilities:
Achieve or surpass profitability targets for the store across sales, payroll, shrinkage, and conversion rates.
Develop and implement effective strategies to optimize store sales while managing expenses efficiently.
Ensure the safeguarding of company assets through meticulous adherence to loss prevention protocols, including inventory management, stock movements, sales procedures, and store maintenance.
Execute and uphold all company policies and store protocols consistently.
Support the recruitment, training, and retention of high-calibre associates, aligning with the store’s staffing requirements and succession planning goals.
Lead by example, providing training, development, and constructive feedback to team members on product knowledge, sales techniques, visual merchandising, and customer service excellence.
Facilitate weekly staff meetings and daily briefings to review store performance and communicate new objectives, strategies, procedures, and performance targets.
Prioritize the delivery of exceptional customer service by continuously assessing, coaching, and monitoring the team’s performance in delivering a superior customer experience.
Maintain a visible presence on the sales floor, assisting customers and supporting sales activities.
Ensure adherence to all visual merchandising standards and promotional directives and uphold the cleanliness and organization of the sales floor and stockroom.

Requirements, Background, and Proficiencies:

Minimum Requirements and Knowledge:
Preference for high school diploma or equivalent

Minimum Background:
1-2 years of experience as an Assistant Store Manager, demonstrating success in boosting sales and profits while mentoring and cultivating a team

Specific Job Abilities:
Proficiency in business English, both written and spoken
Competency in computer applications such as Outlook, Excel, and SAP, along with adeptness in detailed report analysis
Solid proficiency in numerical and literacy skills
