Position Summary:
As an automotive chassis design and development engineer, you’ll be responsible for creating and enhancing chassis components and systems to meet industry standards and regulations. This involves structural analysis, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and ensuring integration with other vehicle parts. You’ll also oversee design reviews, generate engineering documentation, and evaluate materials and manufacturing processes. Troubleshooting technical issues, staying updated with industry trends, and supporting prototype and production builds are integral parts of the role. Additionally, you’ll liaise with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness and provide technical support to team members and departments.

Key Responsibilities:
Design and enhance automotive chassis components and systems in compliance with industry standards.
Utilize structural analysis and simulation to optimize chassis performance and durability.
Collaborate with diverse teams to integrate chassis systems seamlessly with other vehicle components.
Conduct thorough design reviews and create comprehensive engineering documentation, including drawings and test plans.
Assess and select appropriate materials, suppliers, and manufacturing processes for chassis components.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges related to chassis design and performance.
Stay abreast of industry trends, advancements, and regulations pertaining to automotive chassis design.
Support prototype and production build activities, including testing and validating chassis systems.
Maintain close relationships with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness of chassis components.
Offer technical guidance and assistance to colleagues and departments as required.

Candidate Profile:
Holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant field.
Demonstrates expertise in CAD software like SolidWorks or CATIA.
Possesses a comprehensive understanding of chassis design principles and adherence to industry standards.
Boasts a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in automotive chassis design.
Proficient in utilizing structural analysis and simulation tools such as ANSYS or Abaqus.
Exhibits exceptional problem-solving capabilities and analytical prowess.
Fluent in English, with proficiency in additional languages considered advantageous.
