Job Title: BMS Draughtsperson
Job Overview: We seek a skilled and detail-oriented BMS Draughtsperson to create comprehensive schematics and layouts for Building Management Systems (BMS) that adhere to project specifications and industry standards. In this role, you will work closely with engineers and project managers to ensure accurate designs and successful project delivery, utilizing advanced CAD tools to generate high-quality technical drawings for system installations and upgrades.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop detailed BMS schematics and layouts based on project requirements, ensuring alignment with specifications and standards.
- Collaborate with engineers and project managers to ensure the design meets project timelines and specifications.
- Use AutoCAD, Revit, and other CAD software to create precise, high-quality technical drawings for system installations and upgrades.
- Review technical specifications and documentation to deliver comprehensive draughting solutions.
- Ensure compliance with local building codes, regulations, and safety standards throughout the design process.
- Conduct site surveys and inspections to gather the necessary data for accurate designs.
- Prepare as-built drawings to document any changes during construction for future reference and maintenance.
- Assist in selecting materials and components to ensure cost-effective, high-performance BMS solutions.
- Participate in project meetings to update the team on drafting progress and address any challenges.
- Maintain organized records of drawings and revisions, facilitating smooth collaboration across teams.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related field (preferred).
- 3-5 years of experience in BMS draughting or a similar technical field.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or similar CAD software used for BMS designs.
- Certification in Building Management Systems or other relevant technical qualifications (desirable).
- Strong understanding of HVAC systems, electrical systems, and building automation technologies.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and schematics accurately.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- High attention to detail with a focus on quality and precision in all draughting tasks.
