As a Business Analyst at Al-Futtaim Logistics, you will be crucial in assessing and optimizing processes and systems across various divisions. Your primary focus will be to analyze business challenges and develop practical solutions for both internal teams and external clients. You will leverage your strong analytical abilities, communication skills, and business acumen to extract insights from logistics platforms, driving improvement, productivity, resource utilization, and customer experience. A profound understanding of logistics operations and the ability to transform raw data into actionable visuals will be key in your efforts to support business growth and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Feasibility Studies & Business Cases:
- Collaborate with management to support expansion plans and new projects, aligned with strategic goals.
- Work closely with the operations team to gather necessary data, analyze it, and prepare detailed business cases for decision-making.
- Monitor margins on a job-wise basis, tracking actual vs. estimated costs and establishing protocols for jobs with below-target profitability to ensure timely corrective actions.
- Develop new logistics products aligned with business growth, emerging verticals, and expansion strategies, partnering with division heads.
- Process Review & Improvement:
- Evaluate current operational processes and suggest enhancements.
- Lead the implementation of process improvements in coordination with the business and operations teams, tracking progress and maintaining documentation for future audits.
- Business Analytics & MIS Support:
- Provide essential analytical support to help the business meet its goals, creating and delivering MIS reports that facilitate operational decision-making.
- Prepare consolidated reports from various operations and distribute them to management, offering monthly insights into operational performance and identifying key trends.
- Review operational processes to ensure adequate controls and accurate financial transactions, ensuring timely MIS reporting for strategic decisions.
- Conduct regular site visits to identify opportunities for cost savings and enhanced resource utilization, presenting findings to senior management for review.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Collaboration & Stakeholder Management: Proven experience working with senior stakeholders to drive measurable results in cost reduction, revenue growth, and process efficiency.
- Data Analysis Expertise: Strong capability in analyzing complex datasets and converting them into actionable insights using advanced MIS tools.
- Business Intelligence & Tools Proficiency: Expertise in tools like Microsoft Power BI, Power Query, Power Automate, Tableau, SQL, Python, and Alteryx, focusing on predictifocusing on native data modelling.
- Operationmodellinght: A strong understanding of business operations to create compelling reports and perform impactful analysis.
Team Structure:
You will report directly to the Head of Customer Solutions and Marketing. Your role will be in a fast-paced supply chain environment based in the Jebel Ali Free Zone, where you will collaborate with multiple internal and external stakeholders to drive business success.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field.
- AAT has at least three years of experience in data analysis and reporting using Power BI or similar business intelligence tools.
- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills to translate complex data into actionable insights.
- Knowledge of statistical analysis and data modelling techniques is an advantage.
- Experience in creating impactful visualizations and dashboards using best practices in data presentation.
