Role Overview:

The supply chain manager will be key to optimizing demand planning and inventory management within a fast-paced automotive supply chain environment. You will coordinate with various internal and external stakeholders to meet business requirements, ensure efficient parts delivery, and improve stock health. This role also includes analyzing and improving lost sales, managing supply chain risks, and providing actionable insights for continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Demand Planning & Analysis:
  • Deliver operational and project objectives successfully.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to understand business needs.
  • Ensure timely processing of urgent branch orders and creation of articles, keeping stakeholders updated on ETAs.
  • Expedite parts delivery from the PDC to branches to meet customer demands and maintain high branch NPS scores.
  • Engage with OEM/Principals to identify and address supply chain constraints, implementing risk mitigation strategies.
  • Conducted visits, liaised with stakeholders at all levels, and reviewed performance every month.
  • Standardize and continuously improve inventory management and supply chain delivery operations.
  • Initiate and participate in Kaizen activities to drive process improvements.
  • Evaluate stock performance based on key metrics such as turnover, sales, lost sales, and lead time, and take corrective actions as needed.
  • Minimize the risk of aged stock by addressing slow-moving and excess inventory in collaboration with sales and service teams.
  • Provide recommendations to the product team to enhance stock health and improve service levels.
  • Maintain and update parts data health.
  1. Brand Lead (Automotive Brand/Branch):
  • I will serve as the main point of contact for all dealerships, workshops, and body shops in the UAE regarding stock and supply chain management for a specific brand.
  • Process and follow up on recall and redistribution orders.
  • Monitor auto-replenishment orders and ensure the availability of stocked parts at branches.
  • Follow up with branch representatives on service levels.
  1. Lost Sales Analysis & Improvement:
  • Analyze inquiry data to identify potential parts that could increase company revenue.
  • Collect lost sales data from the sales team and implement necessary actions to improve availability.
  • Review stocked and non-stocked items, analyze root causes of lost sales, and coordinate corrective actions with the ordering team.
  • Work proactively with the sales team to avoid lost sales and reduce local purchases.
  1. KPI Dashboard Management:
  • Monitor key performance indicators, including service levels, branch stock health, forecast accuracy, back order aging, local purchases, and lost sales.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Extensive knowledge of inventory management systems and supply chain modules within ERP systems (e.g., SAP).
  • Skilled in problem-solving and applying continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong understanding of agile methodologies in a supply chain context.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Approximately 5 years of experience in supply chain management, preferably within the automotive sector.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Projects).
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a high-paced environment.
