Position Description:
We are seeking a skilled professional to lead the development of sustainable building service designs across a range of projects, including commercial, residential, tall towers, infrastructure, and mixed-use developments. Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing ventilation and air conditioning systems to meet the highest international standards.
  • Conducting engineering evaluations, feasibility studies, and detailed designs.
  • Researching, planning, and implementing sustainable mechanical systems, with a focus on HVAC.
  • Preparing thorough mechanical engineering calculations to support system designs.
  • Applying knowledge of building service design codes such as British Standards, ASHRAE, NFPA, IPC, and IMC.
  • Collaborating with clients to achieve project objectives in a professional manner.
  • Demonstrating expertise in Smoke Management Ventilation design according to NFPA 92, EN 12101, and BS 7346.
  • Proficiency in Fire Protection and Fire Alarm systems in line with NFPA standards, including the ability to conduct and analyze CFD simulations and generate reports.
  • Handling all activities related to MEP cost estimation, including liaising with various departments, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Conducting duct system design using both manual and software tools, and performing ESP calculations.

This role requires a proven track record in delivering high-quality designs and cost estimates within the MEP field, as well as strong communication and coordination skills.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Possession of a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant field.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ hands-on experience in designing and estimating HVAC systems.
  • Demonstrated background in the construction sector, particularly with HVAC projects.
  • Proficiency in industry codes, standards, and regulations governing HVAC design and installation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, essential for devising innovative design solutions.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation aptitude for conveying design concepts and recommendations effectively.
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative team setting while efficiently managing multiple projects concurrently.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and adeptness at meeting deadlines within a dynamic work environment.
