Design Solution Manager

Job Details:
The Design Solution Manager is responsible for maximizing company sales and profitability through design services for residential and commercial projects which includes conceptualization and timely installation of safe and functional design solutions. The job holder is responsible for ensuring that the design solutions are created through combination of commercial knowledge and aesthetic vision and are within budgetary guidelines

CUSTOMER
Collaborate with the Sales team to ensure successful and seamless shopping experience which includes design concept, product availability, warehouse delivery and installation

Ensure customer commitments are met on time through follow-ups on purchases/orders/deliveries and addressing issues (if any)

Ensure all client design specifications are duly met through follow up communication, home visits and customer feedback on the service provided

Create and present a stylistically strong concept to the client that offers visual and functional solutions of Home Centre products to meet client satisfaction

Responsible for building and maintaining good relationship with clients which includes regular customers, interior designers, architects, contractors, and other service providers

COMMERCIAL PERFORMANCE

Proactively attend networking events and meetings for new business development and sales

Drive business sales and profitability through offer of design services at Home Centre and ensuring achievement of sales goals

Create profitable and well-informed business proposals for presentation to clients while ensuring compliance with company guidelines

OFFER

Ensure successful implementation of the Design Services strategy across the UAE territory

Lead and execute end-to-end design projects with the store designers as per committed timelines

Develop ideas and acquire necessary information on potential projects through detailed requirement briefs from the clients and designing project schedules accordingly

Provide detailed assistance to clients during the selection process of fabrics, color palettes, window treatments, lighting, carpets, floor tiles, artwork, paint, wallpaper and accessories through product samples or mood boards

Identify and understand the structural requirements of the design solution with adequate focus on health and safety issues, building codes and other relevant technical aspects

Design living/ dining/ playing/ sleeping solutions and styles for clients through usage of design styles and delivery methods which are best suited to the client requirements

Prepare accurate and error free detailed drawings, designs, plans, models, and schemes using computer-aided design software for presentation to clients, as well as quotations
Combine the Home Centre offer with appropriate selection of other elements such as textile, material, color, texture, lighting and other factors to create ‘Home Centric’ design solutions

Coordinate with relevant Concept/ Territory/ Store/ WH teams to ensure successful delivery of all projects

Support the Corporate Sales teams with mockups/ design services for corporate clients, as and when required.

PEOPLE
Provide on the job coaching to the VM Designers to raise professionalism of the design services

Ensure all Personal development plans and trainings for the Design team are duly completed

Responsible for Performance Management of Store Design Team through timely KPI setting, mid-year and annual performance reviews

Drive engagement and motivation in the team through prompt resolution of work-related issues and grievances
