To assist the Sr. Fire Health & Safety Manager in the implementation, training and audit of Fire, Evacuation and Health and Safety policies & procedures across the portfolio incorporating and updating current policies to ensure that we remain compliant to local and international laws, insurer requirements and industry best practice.
Job Responsibilities:
Provide advice and assistance to Mall management teams on the management of tenant fire Safety
Carry out assessments of risks to health and safety, and implementation of measures and arrangements to mitigate risks identified from the assessments.
Review with FH&S Manager and update emergency procedures, evacuation plans, safety signs and incident reporting.
Review prevention and precautions against, or adequate control of, exposure to hazardous substances, and danger from flammable materials.
Surveillance and reporting on health and safety practices, systems and accident reporting and investigations.
Provide all necessary assistance to the insurer and senior management for incident and accident investigations.
Liaise as necessary with other departments, organizations and relevant authorities and provide assistance and cooperation concerning audits.
Ensure compliance with the MAFP SMBU’s Code of Conduct, Departmental policies and HC Policies and Procedures at all times.
Be the advocate and ambassador of aligning and cascading the MAFP values across SMBU and ensure that relevant team adhered to and exhibit the same all the time.

Understand, abide by and implement the company, governmental and international health, safety and environmental standards, regulations and guidelines
Assist in carrying out Safety Audits and Fire Evacuation exercises in all Operational Malls at least once each year with report and recommendations for improvement.
Enhance companywide awareness of the health and safety policy through information & effective training.
Ensure that each mall has adequate provision of first-aid and welfare facilities where appropriate.
Assist in preparing and carrying out regular training programs for staff and tenants on Fire and Evacuation and general Health and Safety
Assist in the review of tenant’s drawings to ensure compliance with mall and statutory regulations for Fire Safety.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent. Certification in Fire & Safety such as CFPS (Certified Fire Protection Specialist) is highly desirable.
Minimum Experience:
1 – 2 years’ work experience in Fire, Health and Safety programs preferably in a reputed Retail / large Shopping Malls in GCC or abroad.
