In this role, you will execute mechanical repairs according to the principles’ established procedures and specifications, ensuring that time and quality standards are consistently met or exceeded. Your work will contribute directly to achieving the overall productivity and quality objectives while maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform assigned mechanical repairs per the principle’s established work procedures, specifications, and time standards.
- Follow the vehicle Repair Manual to complete repairs accurately, ensuring adherence to repair standards.
- Deliver high-quality workmanship to ensure customer satisfaction, minimizing the need for repeat repairs that result in wasted time and materials.
- Request approval for additional parts and labor from the Team Leader when necessary.
- Conducted quality checks to ensure repairs met standards.
- Follow all safety procedures, use the necessary safety equipment, and adhere to environmental conservation guidelines.
- Maintain cleanliness and order in the workplace, including tools, equipment, and the customer’s vehicle being serviced.
- Report any abnormalities or issues during operations to the Team Leader and complete incident reports when required.
- Carry out work with care, following health and safety regulations, and ensuring your safety and that of others while minimizing environmental impact.
- Maintain discipline within the service environment by adhering to company rules, regulations, and procedures.
Required Skills for Success:
- Experience in mechanical repairs within a reputable automotive workshop.
- Ability to perform tasks according to required standards.
- Strong problem-solving skills to identify and resolve issues efficiently.
- Ability to follow global automotive workshop instructions and procedures.
About the Team:
This role reports to the Team Leader in a busy Body and Paint workshop environment.
Qualifications:
- SSC/Trade certificate/Vocational Training.
- At least 2 years of experience in a similar role within a reputable automotive workshop.
- Ability to read, understand, and write in English.
- Strong attention to detail in following instructions and procedures and achieving standard expectations.
