HSE Officer

Job Details:
To act as a key focal point of the HSE Department and assist in the continual development of the companies safety culture by coaching and giving value added knowledge, understanding and leadership on HSE related matters.

Qualifications:
Certified Risk Assessor
Confined Space and Working at Height Awareness Training
NEBOSH General Certificate or International General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety.
Engineering or Process Related Technical Qualification

Job Accountabilities:
Participating in meetings with staff and sub contract personnel and act as the focal point for HSE related items.
Working with departmental personnel to develop quality risk assessments, JHA’s, COSHH Assessments and participate in outage risk reviews.
Assist the HSE department to gather statistical data from the site observation program and ensure close out of items with relevant departments
Provide Health, Safety and Environmental induction & awareness training to site personnel and sub contractors.
Drive the continuing development of the company HSE culture, working closely with and effectively influencing members of staff and sub contract personnel relating to safe working behaviors using coaching methods.
Coordinating and providing technical assistance to functional leads (e.g., operations, maintenance and administration staff) regarding compliance with company HSE requirements where necessary.
