We are seeking a skilled Deskside Support Technician with a minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience to join our team. The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of Windows 10, Outlook, Exchange, and Active Directory. Good written and verbal communication skills are essential, along with practical experience in printers and IP phones. It is crucial to stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to enhance our IT support capabilities. Familiarity with ITSM tools and basic knowledge of ITIL processes is preferred. Additionally, a basic understanding of IP protocols and Office 365 is required, with Google Suite (Workspace) administration experience being a plus. Responsibilities include responding to and resolving assigned calls within specified SLAs, managing workload effectively, diagnosing and resolving end-user hardware and software issues, adhering to service levels for end-user support, and collaborating with third parties to resolve technical issues. This role also involves maintaining accurate records in the Call Management System and taking accountability for tasks such as software installations, IT asset management, printer service, and LAN connectivity.
Desired Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience as an IT Support Engineer and a bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Windows operating systems, and commonly used software applications is expected. Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities are essential, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The candidate should demonstrate the capability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Attention to detail, the ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently, and a commitment to continuous learning and adaptation to new technologies and processes are crucial. Strong interpersonal communication skills are necessary for effectively communicating complex information to technical and non-technical audiences, including all levels of management.
