Laboratory Technician Job in Dubai United Arab Emirates

Key Responsibilities:

• Sample Processing & Testing:
  Undertake non-interpretative processing of clinical samples, ensuring they are prepared and processed accurately for biomedical testing. Maintain detailed clinical records.
• Collaboration & Communication:
  Work closely with the multi-disciplinary team to highlight urgent results by procedure guidelines. Ensure efficient communication and escalate issues to the team leader when necessary.
• Clinical Record Management:
  Utilize IT systems to manage and maintain clinical records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
• Sample Disposal & Waste Management:
  Take responsibility for safely disposing of clinical and sensitive samples, including sharps bins, and ensure adherence to disposal protocols.
• Quality Assurance:
  Ensure that technical standards, policies, and procedures are consistently followed. Escalate any concerns promptly to maintain quality and safety standards.
• Adherence to Best Practices:
  Implement evidence-based practices and clinical guidelines with the pathology and laboratory team, promoting safe and efficient practices within the lab.

Required Qualifications:

• Experience:
  Minimum of 3+ years of experience as a Laboratory Technician, with hands-on experience in clinical sample processing and laboratory testing.
• Licensing:
  Current DHA (Dubai Health Authority) Licence is required to practice as a laboratory technician in Dubai.
• Technical Skills:
  Proficiency in IT systems for managing clinical records, and a strong understanding of laboratory processes and safety protocols.
• Attention to Detail:
  Ability to maintain high standards of accuracy and efficiency in processing samples and maintaining records.
• Team Collaboration:
  Strong communication and teamwork skills to work effectively with other healthcare professionals and contribute to department goals.
