As an Electric Vehicle (EV) Diagnostic Technician, you will be responsible for the inspection, diagnosis, and repair of electric vehicles. Utilizing advanced diagnostic tools and a Fix It Right approach, you will accurately identify and resolve issues to enhance customer satisfaction and retention, while adhering to the standards of the OEM (EV Brand Corporation).
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and Repair: Accurately diagnose complex faults in EV systems and perform preventative maintenance as needed.
- Team Support and Guidance: Mentor and advise other workshop technicians, providing guidance on diagnostic procedures and ensuring adherence to efficient and correct work practices.
- Quality Control: Deliver high-quality work with minimal need for return visits.
- Clear Communication: Document and communicate work completed or required in a clear manner, ensuring Service Advisors, Technical Advisors, Technical Support, and customers fully understand.
- Efficiency Improvement: Contribute ideas to improve workshop processes, procedures, and the work environment, including recommendations on tools and equipment.
- Safety Oversight: Prepare EVs for junior technician tasks, ensuring all work meets safety standards.
- Technical Support for Parts: Assist parts staff by providing technical input for accurate parts and tooling identification and supply.
- Safe Work Environment: Collaborate with HSSE to ensure a safe workshop environment, implementing and suggesting safety improvements as necessary.
Required Skills: - Comprehensive knowledge of high and low voltage EV components and systems.
- Master Technician certification or industry-equivalent qualification.
- Ability to support, coach, and guide team members effectively.
- Familiarity with the latest EV technologies.
About the Team: - Reporting to the Aftersales Manager, you’ll work in a busy EV workshop environment with a team of dedicated professionals.
Qualifications:
- 5-7 years of experience as a Diagnostic Technician in the automotive industry.
- Valid UAE driver’s license.
