Job Title: Electrical Engineer – HVAC Systems
Job Overview:
We seek an experienced Electrical Engineer specializing in HVAC systems to design and develop electrical components that optimize performance, efficiency, and compliance with industry standards. This role involves collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, conducting technical analyses, and overseeing the installation and testing of electrical systems in HVAC projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop electrical systems for HVAC applications, ensuring they meet industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Perform load calculations and energy modeling to enhance HVAC system performance and energy efficiency.
- Create detailed electrical drawings, specifications, and layouts, working closely with architects and mechanical engineers.
- Supervise electrical components’ installation, testing, and commissioning, ensuring high-quality standards are met.
- Conduct site inspections and audits to identify electrical issues and provide timely resolutions.
- Collaborate with contractors and subcontractors to ensure adherence to project timelines and budgets.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to integrate cutting-edge solutions into designs.
- Provide ongoing technical support and guidance to project managers and on-site personnel.
- Assist in preparing project documentation, including reports, proposals, and cost estimates.
- Present design concepts and project updates to clients, ensuring clear and effective communication.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, focusing on HVAC systems.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) engineering, specifically in HVAC projects.
- Experience with building energy modeling software and HVAC design tools to optimize project outcomes.
- In-depth knowledge of international electrical codes and standards, with the ability to interpret and apply them effectively.
- Strong analytical skills to troubleshoot and resolve complex electrical issues.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to facilitate cross-functional collaboration.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other industry-standard design software.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining quality and safety standards.
