As a New Business & Growth Manager, you will play a crucial role in analyzing market trends, assessing potential investments, and contributing to the creation of innovative strategies in the dynamic mobility sector. Working closely with Senior Managers, you will help develop business concepts and conduct comprehensive market research to guide our future in the automotive industry amidst evolving mobility trends.

Operating in a fast-paced, startup-like environment, this role involves collaborating with internal strategic partners and employing agile methodologies to accelerate experimentation and introduce new solutions to the market. The ideal candidate should possess consulting experience in innovative automotive projects or technology, combining strategic acumen with a passion for driving growth and innovation.

Responsibilities:
Market Analysis and Opportunity Assessment:
Perform extensive research to grasp evolving consumer preferences, technological advancements, and emerging business models within the automotive and mobility realms.
Collect business insights from diverse sources, including company data, industry reports, public records, and purchased databases.
Synthesize gathered intelligence and trends into actionable insights.
Prepare succinct and informative reports and presentations using Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel, effectively conveying research findings and recommendations to senior leadership and other stakeholders.
Develop in-depth analyses of target markets.
Leverage industry data to assess potential partnerships, acquisitions, and innovative business strategies.

Engaging with startup founders, suppliers, manufacturers, and industry experts to remain abreast of mobility trends and innovations.
Crafting presentations and reports to effectively present investment opportunities to the Investment Committee and Executive Board.
Establishing thought leadership in the mobility sector by disseminating insights and trends within internal teams.
Managing multiple projects concurrently, overseeing ongoing tasks, and coordinating with various internal stakeholders.
Identifying growth and innovation prospects through collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Collaborating with the finance department to develop and enhance financial models for assessing investment prospects.
Refining business concepts in collaboration with teams and assessing their financial viability.
Creating business cases that align investment opportunities with industry trends and Al-Futtaim’s automotive strategy.
Assisting in due diligence processes for potential ventures, evaluating technical, commercial, financial, legal, and tax aspects.
Coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to gather necessary information for comprehensive assessments.
Aiding in the preparation of transaction documentation, including Term Sheets, Distribution Agreements, Joint Ventures, and Share Purchase Agreements, under the guidance of Legal and external advisors.

Required Skills for Success:
Background in Consultancy, Automotive, Technology, and Future Mobility
Business strategy expertise
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or Engineering; MBA preferred
Strong communication abilities

5+ years of experience in strategy consultancy, new business development, OEM, startups, or product/service development in Automotive or Technology
Knowledge of mobility trends, automotive startups, and disruptive technologies is advantageous
Proficient in financial modeling and business case development
Effective communication skills for conveying complex concepts
Detail-oriented approach with a dedication to high-quality outcomes
Familiarity or experience with agile methodologies is beneficial
Willingness to collaborate with diverse teams and adapt to a dynamic environment
