As an Automotive Aftersales Pricing Executive, your primary focus will be developing and implementing pricing strategies tailored to business clients in the automotive aftermarket sector. This involves analyzing market trends, competitor pricing, and client feedback to optimize profitability while maintaining customer satisfaction. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and ensure compliance with industry standards. Success in this role requires a balance between pricing competitiveness and profitability, particularly in retail transactions.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Changes Implementation and Maintenance
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute pricing strategies for aftermarket products and services.
Partner with the Tier 2 Pricing Manager to prepare financial impact analyses.
Design intuitive data visualizations and presentations to communicate insights to non-technical stakeholders.
Pricing Support
- Assist the sales team by addressing pricing inquiries, including high-volume discounts, and support effective customer price negotiations.
- Identify and standardize ad-hoc pricing processes.
- Develop tools and frameworks to monitor pricing queries and assess response effectiveness.
- Identify and document system-related pricing issues and maintain accurate vehicle model pricing on online portals.
- Create detailed documentation of query scenarios and provide workarounds where necessary.
- Analyze the impact of various scenarios, such as customer trends and product mix, to support decision-making.
- Collect feedback from the sales team on pricing challenges for resolution.
- Price Optimization and Margin Monitoring
- Conduct periodic reviews of pricing strategies to align with market conditions and company goals, focusing on Tier 2 business.
- Implement pricing changes and promotions to meet revenue and sales targets.
- Monitor and rectify pricing anomalies, such as low or negative margins, and identify root causes.
- Ensure accurate pricing updates in SAP and Advanced Parts Pricing (APP) systems for all sales channels and brands.
- Utilize pricing software to ensure margin compliance with business policies.
Price Setting and Review - Support biannual price revisions, ensuring accurate updates in SAP and APP price lists.
- Validate gross margins at the item level to prevent cost-related issues.
- Assist the Tier 2 Pricing Manager in identifying system enhancements needed for new pricing policies.
- Streamline and automate existing price-setting processes.
Skills Required - Demonstrated experience in pricing analysis, preferably in the automotive industry.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to derive actionable insights from data.
- Proficiency in visualization tools such as Tableau.
- Knowledge of programming in modern scientific languages (e.g., Python, MATLAB, R) is advantageous.
About the Team - You will report to the Pricing Manager and work in a dynamic aftersales environment, collaborating with stakeholders across the organization.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in a multinational setting.
- Knowledge of automotive aftermarket products and services is essential; distributor and OEM experience is advantageous.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and software.
