Role of the Quality Assistant:

The Quality Assistant supports the Senior Quality Manager in ensuring the effective operation of the quality management system. This role involves monitoring and maintaining quality records, ensuring they are properly completed and managed. Additionally, the Quality Assistant ensures that all staff members adhere to the established documented procedures without exception.

Job Purpose:

With general supervision, the Quality Assistant inspects the implementation of the quality system across all departments by reviewing records daily. This ensures that the company complies with established work procedures, maintaining high standards of quality across all operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct daily random checks across all departments to ensure adherence to the Quality System, reporting on the implementation of activities and the correct use of forms as per established procedures.
  • Identify and report any practices that deviate from documented work procedures.
  • Assist senior Quality staff in verifying corrective actions for Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and contribute to finding solutions for recurring issues.
  • Perform inspections of flights, meals, products, and processes as directed by senior Quality staff.
  • Act as a representative for senior Quality staff during any shift, 24 hours a day, as per the roster approved by the Senior Quality Manager.
  • Undertake other duties related to the quality function as assigned.
  • Report any complaints or issues that arise during the shift to senior Quality staff.
  • Apply the Quality Policy and Quality System in accordance with ISO 9001:2000 standards and ensure all responsibilities are carried out according to department procedures while upholding EKFC’s Quality Policy.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:

Educational Qualification:

  • O or A Level in a relevant field or an equivalent qualification (mandatory).
    Work Experience:
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in the Quality Control function within an ISO-regulated environment.
    Completion of on-the-job and mandatory training is required.
