SAP Automation Test Lead

As SAP Automation Test Lead, your primary responsibility will be to enhance and optimize SAP automation and testing processes. You will lead various activities, including defining new scopes and requirements, addressing issues, conducting testing, and collaborating with other teams to fulfill business requirements. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in test automation design, shaping testing practices, and ensuring seamless user experiences.

In this role, you will oversee application management, provide consulting services, deliver training, troubleshoot issues, and establish and uphold domain solutions to meet agreed service level standards. You will analyze system requirements, propose specifications for system enhancements to manage workloads effectively, and ensure high availability. Documentation of technical solution modifications will be a crucial aspect of your responsibilities. Collaborating with software suppliers and the Change Management team, you’ll address problems and oversee the deployment of system changes. Engaging with both internal and external implementation teams and partners, you will contribute to developing, testing, and implementing solutions. Adherence to software development standards and maintenance practices will be crucial, as well as maintaining an understanding of internal and external development best practices. Effective communication with relevant managers and stakeholders within the IT department is essential to ensure seamless collaboration and knowledge on critical topics. Additionally, you will actively contribute to enhancing solutions and business processes. Continuously upgrading your professional knowledge, management skills, and domain expertise through continuous learning and development initiatives will also be a part of your responsibilities.

To excel in this role, you need proficiency in supporting and maintaining SAP Test Automation tools, familiarity with Agile and SAP Activate implementation methodologies, and adept consulting abilities to collaborate autonomously with business users and stakeholders. A solid understanding of ABAP is essential. Additionally, you should possess behavioral competencies such as a knack for learning new technologies, innovative problem-solving skills, adaptability to changing circumstances, and the ability to foster strong customer relationships.

Qualifications that prepare you for this role include a university degree in Information Systems or a related field and a minimum of 5 years or equivalent experience in implementing and supporting SAP Test Automation. You should have a track record of at least 2 or 3 full cycle test automation implementations in SAP ECC or S/4 HANA, along with extensive experience designing and developing test automation frameworks and methodologies. Your expertise should also encompass test infrastructure setup, upgrades, and migrations, as well as project management and maintenance of the test portfolio. Proficiency in various test automation tools such as Tricentis TOSCA, Tricentis Neoload, UFT, Accelq, Selenium, and performance testing tools like JMeter and Loadrunner is necessary. Additionally, you should possess knowledge of software testing practices, automation techniques, the software testing lifecycle, DevOps, and CI/CD tools. Previous experience in SAP and web application test automation will further equip you for this role.
