As a Senior Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing advanced security solutions for cloud environments. Your role is crucial in safeguarding organizational assets and data from cyber threats while ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Azure Security Solutions: Implement and manage Azure Security Solutions in line with the Azure Well-Architected Framework.
- L3 Support: Provide Level 3 support for various security systems and tools, including:
Firewalls, WAF, LTM, Bot Protection - IPS/IDS, Privileged Access Management Systems
- Endpoint Security Systems
- Network security systems/tools in both cloud and on-premises environments
- Cloud Resources: Offer L3 support for cloud-native resources such as Load Balancers, Private Endpoints, VNET Peering, Routing, and ExpressRoute.
- Vendor Management: Handle support vendor escalations promptly.
- Network Infrastructure: Implement and maintain network infrastructure in Cloud and Hybrid environments according to established standards and policies.
- Automation: Use Infrastructure-as-Code and Security-as-Code to automate controls and processes, enhancing metrics and operational support.
- Operational Duties: Manage operational tasks within a cloud-centric environment using tools like Load Balancer, Application Gateway, Front Door, DDoS Protection, Network Watcher, Express Route, Log Analytics, Azure Monitor, and Azure Security Center.
- Integration: Ensure that applications and locations are integrated and comply with the defined cloud connectivity architecture, design principles, and standards.
- Support: Assist the Application and Infrastructure teams in creating Landing Zones in Cloud infrastructure.
Required Skills and Qualifications - Network Domain Expertise: Proficient in managing Routers, Switches, and SDWAN Technologies.
- Enterprise Networking: Strong understanding of IP subnetting, Network Security Groups, routing, Azure Firewall, ExpressRoute, load balancing, DNS, and DHCP.
- Scripting and Automation: Proven experience with scripting, automation, orchestration tools, Infrastructure-as-Code, and CI/CD concepts for automating environment creation.
- Cloud Knowledge: Deep familiarity with Azure cloud capabilities and services.
- AI and Cloud Security: Exposure to Artificial Intelligence concepts, tools, and services with a focus on optimizing cloud security.
- Qualifications for the Role
- Educational Background: A degree or diploma in Computer Science or a related field.
Experience: - At least 3 years of experience in designing and maintaining secure Azure solutions.
- A minimum of 7 years in the Network Security domain, with hands-on experience managing firewalls, WAF, Privileged Access Management Systems, Identity and Access Management, Proxy, and IPS.
- Security Expertise: Proven experience in both cloud and on-premises security environments.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications in Cloud Administration, Architecture, Security, and Governance, with a focus on Azure.
