As a Senior Finance Analyst, your primary responsibility is to support senior leadership by providing accurate and timely information that enables strategic decision-making and commercial focus. You will generate regular and ad hoc reports, conduct thorough analysis, and proactively investigate additional management information needs.
This role offers a dynamic and diverse opportunity to contribute significantly to the overall growth of Alshaya. Your key duties include delivering pertinent financial and management insights to senior management, ensuring adherence to stringent deadlines.
- Responsibilities:
Develop annual business plans and forecasts in collaboration with corporate finance and support teams, leveraging historical, current, and projected financial data and market insights. - Assist directors and department heads in presenting final budgets to the CEO and CFO.
- Strategically ensure achievement of KPI targets, focusing on tactical execution.
- Analyze performance outcomes for accuracy, utilizing data to formulate models for future performance projections.
- Identify critical success factors and key performance indicators (KPIs) for business evaluation.
- Regularly review and report on budget versus trading performance across various intervals (daily, weekly, annually).
- Strategically maximize business opportunities and assess market potential.
- Provide financial and strategic guidance to Vice Presidents and senior leadership.
- Support business decision-making through detailed analysis of brand, channel, and country profitability, alongside ongoing cost assessments.
- Offer sound financial advice to leadership for critical business decisions, such as new brands, channels, or market expansions.
- Periodically re-forecast contribution expectations to highlight probable performance outcomes.
- Provide feedback and coaching to functional teams as needed.
- Report both lagging and leading performance indicators to address business managers’ concerns promptly.
- Illustrate trends, results, or conditions impacting profitability effectively.
Skills and Experience Required:
- Certified Chartered Accountant from prestigious firms, preferably with experience in Big 4 firms.
- Essential 2-3 years of experience in Commercial Finance.
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, with advanced skills.
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems.
- Previous experience in retail or FMCG sectors is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication abilities, both verbal and written.
