Role Profile
Strategic Development:
Lead the creation of pricing and promotional strategies for various formats (Hypermarket, Supermarket, Convenience, Online) in alignment with their Customer Value Proposition (CVP).
Collaborate with the leadership team to establish overall and category annual objectives.
Performance Transparency and Engagement:
Foster transparency in our price competitiveness and promotional effectiveness.
Engage stakeholders and the leadership team to align on actions addressing performance gaps.
Competitive Analysis:
Develop a competitor price check plan based on needs and budget.
Manage the price check service provider to ensure timely, quality insights.
Collect competitor promotion intelligence (e.g., flyer checks).
Capability Development:
Enhance price and promotion management capabilities through tools and processes.
Define functional requirements for pricing tools and collaborate with partners to implement solutions leveraging advanced analytics and data-driven insights for dynamic pricing optimization.
Daily Pricing Activities:
Oversee daily pricing tasks with the price and promotion team, including preparing and cleaning price data.
Develop price recommendations based on agreed-upon rules and work with merchants to ensure timely actions to improve price positioning.
Weekly Promotional Activities:
Coordinate with merchants to plan more effective promotions promptly.
Work with store operations to ensure the timely and proper execution of promotional events.
Team Leadership:
Build and lead the price and promotion team.
Manage and develop team members to enhance their capabilities and performance.
Requirements
A bachelor’s degree in management or an MBA in the same field is advantageous.
3-5 years of experience, ideally in retail, FMCG, or an analytical managerial role.
Full professional proficiency in English is required.
Strong people management skills: leading and developing a team and enhancing their capabilities.
Expertise in pricing, project management, and promotion management.
