Job Details:
Prompt Trouble Shooting:
Responsible for troubleshooting during breakdowns of mechanical equipment, and assist in finding the root cause for corrective action, maintenance-related development works
Providing Solutions:
Responsible for attending mechanical maintenance problems during breakdowns in the Steel Plant. To communicate to superiors any abnormalities found in the Steel Plant, to plan maintenance-related development works & rectify the same.
Implementing Standards:
Follow mechanical maintenance related development standards for all equipment in the Steel Making Plant.
Audit and Investigation:
Inspect equipment to meet engineering principles and safety regulations in maintenance related development works.
To perform the maintenance activities of Steel Melting Plant to achieve the assigned targets such as minimizing plant downtime and increasing the mill availability & and consumption of spares with cost consciousness.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Key Accountabilities)
Optimize Production:
To execute all scheduled (day-to-day, preventive) maintenance, corrective maintenance, and major repairs of the equipment to optimize production & minimize down time for maintenance-related development works
To lead a group of Technicians / Welders (instruction and guidance to Technicians /Welders) and participate in maintenance-related development works
Additional Duties and Responsibilities
Preparation of sample working drawing for fabrication jobs
Maintenance Support:
To assist and help the Superiors in the Steel Making Plant in all technical areas to ensure smooth maintenance related development works of the Steel Making Plant for uninterrupted production and co-ordination with other departments.
Policies and Procedures Management:
To follow all relevant safety, quality, health, and environmental management policies and procedures applicable to maintenance-related development.
Supervision:
Preparation & securing Permit to Work for his team

Minimum Education Qualifications (Must Haves) Any preferred professional training (Nice to have)
I.T.I. in Mechanical Fitter trade
Professional Experience (Must haves)
Previous Experience/exposure Recommendations (Nice to have)
5 Years as a Technician/ Fitter in a Steel Plant
2-3 years experience in Mechanical maintenance of Steel Plant as a Sr. Technician
Technical knowledge of predictive & preventive maintenance of SMP equipment.
Knowledge & Skill of Troubleshooting SMP Equipment
Understanding of engineering drawings
Knowledge of rigging and slinging
Basic computer literacy
Spoken English
