Role Overview:
As the Senior Social Media Executive at DP World, you will be pivotal in executing the regional social media strategy. Your responsibilities include implementing innovative campaigns, analyzing performance metrics, and ensuring alignment with DP World’s global brand and communication goals. This role is instrumental in strengthening our online presence and supporting overall business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Content Management:
- Collaborate closely with agencies and partners to develop social media content calendars aligned with marketing and communication strategies across various DP World businesses.
- Work under the guidance of the Manager Brand, Digital & Social to create content that reflects DP World’s brand identity while meeting the communication objectives of internal stakeholders and business units.
- Partner with agencies to craft compelling social media copy that captures the unique voice of each DP World brand, maintaining brand consistency throughout.
- Enhance the visual direction of social media accounts, adhering to DP World’s brand guidelines and incorporating current trends.
- Provide guidance to agencies in selecting and sourcing images, videos, and other visual content that aligns with each brand’s visual language and guidelines.
- Advise on content scheduling to ensure timely and accurate posting across platforms.
Stay updated on DP World’s overall brand direction, as well as social media trends and competitor activities, to optimize social media strategies. - Develop ideas and campaigns for international events and relevant business occasions, ensuring alignment with DP World’s objectives and audience engagement goals.
- Craft compelling narratives that resonate with our target audience while effectively conveying the DP World brand message.
- This role requires a creative mindset, strong project management skills, and a deep understanding of social media platforms and content strategies. By driving engaging campaigns and maintaining brand integrity, you will contribute significantly to DP World’s digital presence and business success.
Community Management (Monitoring and Support):
- Monitor comments, questions, and customer feedback across DP World’s social media channels, advising agencies on effective responses.
- Identify and escalate potential customer service issues or reputational risks to appropriate team members or managers.
- Engage with online conversations relevant to DP World brands, guiding agencies on community interaction strategies.
Analytics and Optimization:
- Assist agencies in tracking and analyzing key social media metrics for DP World brand accounts.
- Prepare reports on social media performance, engagement, and reach, offering insights for continuous improvement.
- Recommend optimizations to enhance content and campaign effectiveness, ensuring timely and accurate reporting by agencies.
Campaign Support:
- Collaborate with internal teams and agencies to execute social media components of marketing campaigns for DP World brands.
- Aid in setting up and monitoring social media advertising campaigns, suggesting adjustments for optimal performance.
Professional Development:
- Stay current with social media trends, tools, and best practices, focusing on enhancing collaboration between agencies and stakeholders.
- Develop expertise in multi-brand social media management and agency relations.
Technical Competencies:
- Proficient in major social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn) and their best practices.
- Solid understanding of social media strategy, content development, and community engagement principles.
- Skilled in social media analytics, metrics, and reporting.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to provide clear direction to agencies. - Effective project management abilities, adept at coordinating timelines and stakeholders for project completion.
- Experience managing social media across multiple brands in a dynamic environment.
- Proactive and collaborative approach to work, supporting strategic initiatives and fostering effective agency partnerships.
Essential Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
Work Experience:
- 2-4 years of experience in social media, marketing, or communications, ideally in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with social media management, analytics, and listening tools (e.g., Sprout Social, Hootsuite, Brandwatch, Meltwater).
- Knowledge of social media advertising platforms is advantageous.
- Fluency in English; proficiency in Arabic is highly desirable.
