Job Description
We seek a skilled and experienced Commissioning Engineer to manage the Testing and Commissioning of Fire Fighting and Fire Alarm Systems across various projects. The ideal candidate will be crucial in ensuring systems meet safety standards, performance criteria, and compliance with Civil Defense regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the complete Testing and Commissioning (T&C) of Fire Fighting and Fire Alarm Systems.
- Liaise with Civil Defense authorities to secure necessary testing approvals and certifications.
- Manage and control ongoing maintenance activities related to fire protection systems.
- Prepare comprehensive technical documentation and reports, highlighting discrepancies and recommending corrective actions.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during the commissioning phase.
- Develop and implement structured testing plans and protocols to ensure operational efficiency and compliance.
- Ensure all testing activities adhere to safety regulations and industry standards.
- Monitor and manage commissioning timelines to keep projects on schedule and within budget.
- Stay updated with industry advancements and integrate best practices into testing procedures.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering-related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in testing and commissioning, specifically within fire protection systems.
- Previous experience on large-scale projects in the UAE or GCC region is a strong advantage.
- In-depth knowledge of local fire safety codes, industry standards, and construction regulations.
- Proficient in creating technical reports with a high level of accuracy and detail.
- Strong problem-solving abilities with a proactive, hands-on approach.
- Capable of working both independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
- Willingness to travel and work on-site across multiple project locations as required.
