Established in the 1930s as a trading business, Al-Futtaim Group today is one of the most diversified and progressive, privately held regional businesses headquartered in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.We’re in need of a Workshop Supervisor for Trading Enterprises Dubai, someone who is both technically proficient and focused on achieving results. In this role, you’ll be responsible for overseeing a team of technical professionals, assigning tasks, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations to optimize workshop performance. Collaboration with various departments and distributor teams will be essential to ensure adherence to the “Fix It Right” process and timely delivery of vehicles in top-notch condition.
Your responsibilities will include:
Maintaining high shop floor efficiency to ensure prompt vehicle delivery and profitability.
Maximizing the utilization, productivity, and efficiency of technicians.
Properly distributing, controlling, and monitoring tasks to ensure timely and accurate completion.
Upholding quality standards to boost customer satisfaction and loyalty while minimizing rework to improve overall workshop efficiency.
Providing training and coaching to enhance the skills and efficiency of team members.
Conducting road tests before and after repairs to confirm the complaint and verify the effectiveness of the repair.
Enforcing company rules, regulations, and procedures, including warranty policies, in accordance with company guidelines.
To excel in this role, you should possess the following skills:
Experience in effectively managing and leading a team of Technicians, assigning their tasks efficiently.
Proficiency in monitoring and enhancing workshop Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and overall efficiency.
Capability to draft comprehensive technical reports.
Minimum of 5 years of recent experience in automotive dealership settings, having served as a Workshop Supervisor, Controller, or Foreman, along with holding a valid UAE Driving license.
Regarding the team structure, you will report directly to the Aftersales Manager and operate within a dynamic workshop setting. Your interactions will primarily involve daily engagement with Workshop Supervisors, Controllers, Foremen, and Technicians.
To thrive in this position, the ideal candidate will hold a degree or diploma, preferably in Automobile or Mechanical Engineering, or possess relevant technical certifications. With a minimum of 5 years of recent experience in automotive dealership settings, you should demonstrate strong technical acumen and proficiency in writing technical reports. Effective communication, analytical prowess, and interpersonal skills are essential, coupled with administrative competence. Preference will be given to candidates with prior experience as Foremen, Supervisors, Team Leaders, or Workshop Controllers within the automotive industry. Additionally, possessing a valid UAE driving license is a prerequisite for this role.
