Are you ready to take the wheel in a fast-paced, innovative workshop environment? At Al Futtaim Motors – Toyota, we’re looking for a proactive and skilled Workshop Planner to join our team in Al Ain. In this pivotal role, you’ll align job tasks with technician expertise, ensuring seamless operations and timely vehicle delivery to our valued customers.
Your Key Responsibilities
Job Allocation:
Strategically assign tasks to technicians based on individual skill sets and specific job requirements to maximize productivity.
Job Monitoring:
Regularly track the Technician Planning Board and Job Progress Control Board, promptly flagging any issues to the Workshop Manager.
Performance Optimization:
Ensure balanced workload distribution and help achieve technician utilization and efficiency targets.
FIR Compliance:
Support the “Fix It Right” (FIR) initiative by ensuring quality-first job execution to meet performance benchmarks.
Time Management:
Monitor and manage time clocking records accurately, escalating discrepancies when needed.
Timely Deliveries:
Coordinate with Service Advisors to inform them of vehicle status and ensure on-time customer handovers.
What You’ll Bring
- Experience: 2–3 years as a Workshop Controller or Planner in an automotive dealership setting.
- Technical Know-How: Strong background in job allocation, ideally with experience as a Diagnostic Technician.
- Communication: Clear, confident communicator – both written and verbal.
- Reporting Skills: Ability to draft detailed technical reports and relay information across departments effectively.
- Education: Diploma in Automobile or Mechanical Engineering.
- Bonus: UAE Driving License (preferred but not mandatory).

Reporting directly to the Aftersales Manager, you’ll work closely with a dynamic team of Technicians and Service Advisors team. Your role will be the operational glue, ensuring departments are aligned, jobs are completed efficiently, and customers are consistently satisfied.
