Role Overview:
As the Bodyshop Manager, you will lead the efficient repair of accident-damaged vehicles, ensuring adherence to repair timelines and stringent quality standards at every stage. Your responsibilities include managing Bodyshop resources, such as consumables, paint, and equipment. Daily reporting on productivity and resource utilization will be crucial, alongside maintaining impeccable housekeeping per Toyota’s 5S principles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a consistently clean and organized work environment following 5S principles (Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) to enhance safety and efficiency for staff and customers.
  • Execute assigned tasks according to established standards, specifications, and timelines.
  • Ensure all repairs are completed as per service orders, estimates, and company policies, aiming for a 95% Fix it Right First Time (FIR) ratio.
  • Maintain a minimum productivity rate of 130% and sustain a minimum average Customer Satisfaction Value (CSV) score of 4.2.
  • Enforce discipline and cleanliness in the service area, adhering strictly to company rules and procedures.
  • Optimize the safe and efficient use of tools, equipment, and materials to minimize costs.
    Stay updated on new technologies, work procedures, and technical knowledge to enhance
  • productivity and quality.
  • Support team efforts by achieving assigned goals and tasks.
  • Adhere to all business Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and contribute to the Quality Management System.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations during all operations.

    Additional Duties:

Undertake any additional tasks assigned by supervisors or managers as required.

  • Required Skills for Success:
  • Proficiency in operating Body Repair Equipment.
  • Familiarity with Paint mix Electronic Catalogues and Mixer Reading.
  • Strong leadership abilities to effectively manage a team.
  • Excellent communication skills, adept at fostering teamwork.

    About the Team:
    You will report directly to the Workshop Manager and collaborate within a dynamic workshop setting.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • ITI/Diploma in Automobile Engineering or a related field.
  • 5-7 years of experience as a qualified tradesperson in the relevant field.
  • Proficiency in computer usage and robust communication skills.
